"Visionaire No. 60: Religion", guest-edited by Givenchy head designer Riccardo Tisci, an exploration of religion as interpreted through photographs and art. Religion is taken here as a synonym for all acts or works of obsession, reverence, ritual, piety and worship. Artists include Marina Abramovic, collaborating with Tisci; Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographing Lara Stone; Paolo Canevari, who envisions Vogue Italia editor in chief Franca Sozzani as a saint; Karl Lagerfeld photographing Carine Roitfeld; Mario Sorrenti and Camilla Nickerson depicting a modern-day mother and child; Berlinde de Bruyckere, collaborating with Mario Testino on a series of nudes; Jefferson Hack curating Polaroids by Patti Smith; Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin re-envisioning "Lucy Fer" ; Nick Knight and Katy England rendering a winged Kate Moss crucifix; and many more. Bound in leather, Religion is housed in a wooden case that mimics an altar piece; the title is pyrographed onto the front panels of the case.
