A biennial review, Building Biographies provides a survey of a diverse range of Scottish architectural projects realised over recent years. Eight projects, predominantly of a smaller scale and realised in Scotland are compared with six projects from Austria, Norway and Switzerland, allowing in turn for an examination of issues of culture of place and regional identity in a period of globalisation. Clearly designed and illustrated throughout with colour photographs the book also includes a wide range of essays exploring these issues from various perspectives.
