Experiment Marathon documents a series of public experiment events curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Director of Serpentine Gallery, London, in collaboration with the artist Ólafur Elíasson. These events were a series of over forty consecutive public experiments that explored ideas of time, space and reality through various models, investigating our understanding of the world and how knowledge is built up over time. Over 100 participants were from the fields of both art and science with leading artists, architects, film-makers, academics, and scientists creating an environment of invention through a series of installations, screenings, performances, and experimental film which expanded the idea of experimentation and display.
