In 2005, with the partial and promised gift of Robert E. Kresko, the Saint Louis Art Museum became the repository of an outstanding group of later Chinese bronzes, complementing its distinguished collection of ancient Chinese bronzes. The Museum is now one of the rare cultural institutions outside China to have a full range of ancient and later Chinese bronzes, which it has made avalialble in scholarly catalogues and beautiful installations.
